Update on the game

Hello everybody.

I'm getting a lot of questions about when the next update will be released. No, it won't be released today. I wrote a post about this a month ago explaining the situation and why updates will be delayed (not for long, about a month, a month and a half at worst). Here's a summary:

  • The game was deindexed, which badly affected discoverability and reduced revenue.
  • If I continue working on the game full-time, I won't have anything to eat in no time and could eventually become homeless, which is not on my bingo card this year.
  • To compensate for the lost sales revenue, I have to take freelance jobs. Rather than bitching about my financial situation on X or something, I'm taking work - which is why I can't work on the game full-time right now.

That about sums it up. I'll start spending 80% of my time on the game in about 3-4 days, when I finish the freelance job I took a month ago. Once I'm back on it, I'll be able to estimate when the next update (v1.5.0-a3) will be released. Right now I'm thinking early October.

I never wanted any of this to happen, but it is what it is. I know it's frustrating for a lot of people, you guys have been waiting for the update today. I know not everybody checks my posts, so some of you may not have seen the previous delay notice. For some of you this is new, when it's really not.

This game is being developed by one person. I don't have many resources or a big budget, so I absolutely have to take side quests in order to survive.

Sorry about the whole thing. Even though it's not really my fault, I do feel guilty. The best thing I can do right now is release the next update as soon as possible.

I'll post a devlog soon to show progress and give y'all an exact release date for the upcoming update.

Thank you for supporting the game and being patient, I appreciate every single one of you! I promise to release the update before October 15.

Whats good dev
Devblog any time soon?

I need to finish the progression system first, i'll have an exact release date for the update once that's done. The devlog will cover that and the new character behavior system. It's almost done, give me a few days.

No rush
Just asking
all good take ur time

I always wondered, do you plan to make another game after finish this? posibly a sequel or maybe expand the game with more features?? all i can say i really love your game because it s a very unique kind of  game.

I don't know yet. I'm focusing solely on this game right now. I have a lot of features planned on the roadmap, and i'm also working on things that are not. My biggest problem right now is the limited time i can spend on development. Wish i had more.

hey. just wanted to ask few things. how far in your plans are models diversity - if your sich was better - just before release or sometimes between next few updates? how much time you spend on your average update? and last one - how much time do you think you might need for finished product, if you had unlimited time at hand?

Hi. I posted the roadmap just before shit hit the fan, it's 2 months per relatively well-tested update. There's 2 major updates, v1.5.0-a3 and v2.0.0-a3, so that's 4 months to finish both game modes. I'll add new content once v2.0.0-a3 is released. That's 2 months per update if i work on the game full-time. I'm working full-time now to release v1.5.0-a3 as soon as possible, but not for long unfortunately.

The upcoming update will be released next month, and it would be a big 'W' if i could release v2.0.0-a3 before the end of the year. But that's a big 'if'.

For the full release, i need to roll out the beta first, then i'll focus on overall polish of the game. After i finish polishing, v1.0.0 will be released. It all comes down to the time i have to work on the game.

Thank you for your hard work!

By the way, is there a money cheat for the Master mode as well?

Thank you for your support!

There's not. Master mode lacks a lot of features right now. Sorry about that.

No worries! Is it something you are considering adding to Master mode in the future?

Absolutely. I'll add more cheats in future updates for both modes, such as unlocking and reversing certain things.

Why not sell it on steam as well?

I'm hoping to release the full game on Steam once it's finished. But it's a 50/50 with a game like this, they might reject it for various reasons.

Considering the situation with itch.io you should consider selling it on steam as early access to help fund yourself.

I am on my way to the VİSA headquarters with a buncha molotovs on my backpack brb.
Jokes aside, you gotta live and we do understand, just take care of yourself.

Violence tends to make things worse, no need for that :D

It's better this way than if you become homeless and can't work on the game at all.

I'm really looking forward to the next post with progress on the game

True that.

Youre smart bringing on other forms of income to support yourself. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. It was great while it lasted (working full-time on the game), but nothing lasts forever i guess. Still hoping the whole thing gets resolved, maybe i'm just being naive though 😅

If you die no more game, that would be 2 things to be VERY sad about.

I'm not gonna die :D

I believe I speak for most, if not all, of those who follow the development of your game when I say that we are perfectly capable of being patient. Take your time and focus on keeping your life together.
Your welfare and self-care are always going to be a priority.
There's no need to feel guilty, most developers that have a great game such as yours will not communicate nearly as often or clearly as you.

You set expectations and give a realistic timeframe, keeping us involved the entire step of the way.

We seriously love you and appreciate all that you do to put out such quality content.

Thank you for your kind words.

I've been inconsistent because I didn't have a clear vision for sissy mode for a while, mostly regarding progression. But I figured it out.

I'll keep working on it as much as I can, and hopefully one day we'll have a truly high-quality game.
